Details of Occoquan was more than a boutique, it was a sisterhood. Created by owner Cathy Campbell, a visionary in the boutique world, Cathy gained a following by asking the question, “Are you a Details Girl?” For over 15 years, she built an award-winning business in the DC area, specializing in women’s 40+ style.
For 2 years, I provided services for re-Branding, Marketing, Social Media Management, Styling, and Photography. Oh, yes, please!
Women flocked to Details, for their unique style of “art on the body,” and personal-styling services. With a tape measure and a set of pins within reach, Cathy and her team stood ready to dress customers in the couture work of local designers. Mothers, sisters, daughters, and weekenders booked appointments and filled the dressing rooms. The vibe was welcoming because, at Details of Occoquan, you were among friends. “Share your stories, sip some Prosecco, pick out an outfit (or four), and leave feeling beautiful.”
Cathy not only empowered women around her, but she also supported our seasons of life. I’ll never forget arriving for a meeting and finding a bright set of toys for my toddler, nestled between racks of evening gowns. (Very expensive gowns.) And she didn’t mind, she just wanted my boys to have fun at her shop. Thank you, Cathy!
