Favorite Thing: “Press Here” Children’s Book

”Press Here. That’s right. Just press the yellow dot. And turn the page.”

Every print designer I know, often dreams of designing their own wedding invitations. Annnd designing a children’s book. Maybe it’s a throwback to our childhoods and early days of imagination? When I had my first son, and began exploring the amazing world of child’s books, I was inspired all over again. Enter the book Press Here by French author/illustrator Hervé Tullet.

Create Your Own Bingo Marker Press Here Book (ages 3-6) by Crayon Freckles This craft is great because it really mirrors the book, retaining several of the visual logic + color theory ideas.

Press Here is a BRILLIANT work, both from a design-y perspective and a mom perspective. This is a witty, inviting and interactive book, teaching kids visual logic as well as a beautiful introduction to color theory. A fan-favorite of preschools, parents and kids everywhere. Thank you Mssr. Tullet for having this book translated to English from French. Thank you for designing so smartly and simply. Love. Love. Love this book.
